Seven Sisters
The Seven Sisters are a series of chalk sea cliffs on the East Sussex coast, located between Seaford and Eastbourne. The cliffs were formed from the same chalk downland as the more famous White Cliffs of Dover and are characterised by their distinctive undulating profile, which rises and falls in seven peaks corresponding to the dry valleys of the South Downs as they meet the sea. The area is managed as the Seven Sisters Country Park by East Sussex County Council and forms part of the South Downs National Park. The cliffs are one of the most photographed natural landscapes in England and are designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
