Selfridges
Selfridges is a luxury department store located on Oxford Street in the City of Westminster, central London, and the flagship of the Selfridges Group retail chain. The store was founded by American entrepreneur Harry Gordon Selfridge and opened in 1909, and its Edwardian Baroque building stretches for the equivalent of several city blocks along Oxford Street. It is the second-largest department store in the United Kingdom by floor area and is known for its innovative window displays and marketing. The building is a Grade II listed structure and one of the most recognisable retail buildings in the world.
