SEC Armadillo, Glasgow, Scotland

The SEC Armadillo (previously known as the Clyde Auditorium) is a distinctive auditorium at the Scottish Event Campus on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow. Designed by Norman Foster and Partners and opened in 1997, the building's interlocking aluminium shells were inspired by the overlapping plates of an armadillo, giving it its popular nickname. The venue has a capacity of approximately 3,000 and is used for conferences, concerts, and other events. It stands adjacent to the larger OVO Hydro arena and the SEC Centre as part of Glasgow's major events and exhibition complex.
