Sandown Park Racecourse
Sandown Park Racecourse is a major flat and jump racing venue located in Esher in Surrey, approximately fifteen miles south-west of central London. The course opened in 1875 as one of the first enclosed racecourses in Britain, which allowed admission charges to be made for the first time. It hosts several prestigious race meetings including the Coral-Eclipse Stakes and the bet365 Gold Cup. The site is also used for concerts and events and is accessible by rail via Esher station on the Waterloo to Guildford line.
