Saltram House
Saltram House is a George II mansion set within a landscaped park overlooking the Plym Estuary, located approximately 3.5 miles east of the city centre of Plymouth in Devon. The house contains exceptional plasterwork and furnishings, including two rooms designed by Robert Adam with ceilings and decorative schemes among the finest examples of his work. The estate has strong associations with the Reynolds family and the painter Sir Joshua Reynolds, who was born nearby at Plympton. The house and its gardens are managed by the National Trust and are open to the public.
