Regent Street

Regent Street, London, England

Regent Street is one of London's principal shopping streets, running in a gentle curve for approximately one mile from Oxford Circus in the north to Piccadilly Circus in the south. Designed by John Nash and completed in 1825 as part of a grand processional route planned for the Prince Regent, it is now lined with prestigious shops, department stores, and restaurants in a uniform stucco and stone architectural style. The street is owned by the Crown Estate and is famous for its spectacular Christmas light installations, including the iconic angel decorations that span the road each December. Notable retailers on the street include Liberty, Hamleys, and Apple.
