Putney

Putney is a district in the London Borough of Wandsworth in south-west London, situated on the south bank of the River Thames opposite Fulham. The area is known as the starting point of the annual Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, which begins at Putney Bridge and finishes at Mortlake upstream. Putney has a busy high street and a popular riverside area with riverside pubs and a promenade. The district is well served by Putney rail station and East Putney and Putney Bridge Underground stations.
