Port St. Mary

Port St. Mary

Port St. Mary, Isle of Man, England

Port St Mary is a small seaside village and fishing port on the southwest coast of the Isle of Man, situated at the southern end of the bay known as Port St Mary Bay. The village has a small harbour with a breakwater, sandy beaches, and a sheltered aspect that made it a popular Victorian and Edwardian seaside resort. It is connected to Douglas and Ramsey by the Isle of Man Railway's narrow-gauge steam railway, one of the last working Victorian steam railways in the British Isles. The village is within the Rushen parish, close to the Calf of Man nature reserve.
