Pimlico
Pimlico is a residential district in the City of Westminster, central London, situated immediately south of Victoria station and west of the River Thames at Vauxhall Bridge. The area was largely developed in the mid-19th century by the builder Thomas Cubitt as a planned residential neighbourhood of stucco-fronted terraces and garden squares, in a style closely related to the adjacent Belgravia. Pimlico is served by Pimlico Underground station on the Victoria line and contains the Tate Britain gallery on the Millbank riverside, which houses the national collection of British art.
