Parliament Hill
Parliament Hill is a prominent hill on the southern part of Hampstead Heath in north London, located within the London Borough of Camden. It rises to 98 metres above sea level and offers one of the finest panoramic views of the London skyline, which is protected by law as a designated strategic view. The hill is a popular spot for kite flying and is crossed by many well-used footpaths. The origin of the name is debated but may relate to legendary associations with Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot of 1605.
