Palace Pier
Brighton Palace Pier, commonly known as Brighton Pier, is a Victorian pleasure pier located in the centre of Brighton's seafront in East Sussex. It was opened in 1899 and extends approximately 525 metres over the English Channel, and is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the United Kingdom. The pier is lined with amusement arcades, fairground rides, fast food outlets, and traditional seaside stalls. A second historic pier, the West Pier, stands in ruins nearby, having suffered fire and storm damage in the early 2000s.
