Oxo Tower
The Oxo Tower is a distinctive Art Deco commercial building on the South Bank of the River Thames in the London Borough of Lambeth, near Blackfriars Bridge. The building was originally a power station, subsequently acquired by the Liebig Extract of Meat Company and converted in the 1930s, when the famous OXO lettering was incorporated into the tower's windows as advertising that could not otherwise be approved. It now contains restaurants and a brasserie at the top levels, with design studios, galleries, and a public viewing area. The Oxo Tower Wharf below forms part of the South Bank cultural and retail complex.
