Norton St. Philip
Norton St Philip is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England, located approximately 7 miles south of Bath. The village is notable for its historic George Inn, which dates from at least the 14th century and is considered one of the oldest continually licensed public houses in England. Norton St Philip has historical associations with the Duke of Monmouth's Rebellion of 1685, when skirmishes took place in and around the village ahead of the Battle of Sedgemoor. The village lies in attractive rolling countryside and is within the area affected by the expanding orbit of Bath.
