North Sands Beach

North Sands is a sandy beach on the western shore of the Kingsbridge Estuary, approximately half a mile north of Salcombe town centre, accessible by foot, road, or ferry from Salcombe. The beach is relatively sheltered compared to more exposed south coast beaches, making it popular with families with young children and those looking for calmer water for swimming and paddling. A small seasonal café and beach facilities operate at the beach during the summer months. North Sands is one of several beaches accessible from Salcombe, along with South Sands and Mill Bay on the opposite shore.
