The National Maritime Museum is located in Greenwich, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, south-east London, and is the largest maritime museum in the world. It is part of the Royal Museums Greenwich group, which also includes the Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, and the Queen's House. The museum's collections cover the history of Britain's seafaring heritage, including navigational instruments, ships' models, charts, paintings, and personal artefacts from major figures in naval history. It is situated within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Maritime Greenwich and admission to the permanent collection is free.
