Muchalls is a small coastal village in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, situated on the cliffs of the North Sea coast approximately 8 kilometres north of Stonehaven. The village is known for Muchalls Castle, a well-preserved early 17th-century Scottish baronial tower house with notable ornate plasterwork ceilings. The coastline near the village is characterised by dramatic red sandstone cliffs, sea caves, and a small natural harbour. The village is a quiet settlement in the Mearns agricultural hinterland of northeast Scotland.
