Mompesson House
Mompesson House is an elegant Queen Anne townhouse located in the Cathedral Close in Salisbury, Wiltshire. It was built around 1701 for Charles Mompesson and is considered one of the finest examples of Queen Anne architecture in England. The house is noted for its ornate plasterwork interiors and its walled garden to the rear. It is owned and managed by the National Trust and is open to the public, and famously served as a filming location for the 1995 film adaptation of Sense and Sensibility.
