Maidenhead
Maidenhead is a large town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, England, situated on the north bank of the River Thames approximately 28 miles west of central London. The town has a prosperous commercial character and is well connected to London by rail via the Great Western Main Line, and by road via the M4 and M40 motorways. Brunel's Sounding Arch railway bridge over the Thames at Maidenhead, built in 1838, features the widest and flattest brick arches in the world and was famously depicted in Turner's painting Rain, Steam and Speed.
