Leonardslee Gardens
Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens is an extensive landscape garden covering approximately 240 acres near the village of Lower Beeding in West Sussex, approximately five miles south-east of Horsham. The garden was created from 1889 by Sir Edmund Loder and is celebrated for its spectacular display of rhododendrons and azaleas in spring, which bloom around a series of hammer ponds in a sheltered valley. The estate was restored and reopened to the public in 2019 after a period of closure, and now includes a hotel, restaurant, and art galleries. The gardens are considered one of the finest wild gardens in England.
