Lacock

Lacock, Wiltshire, England

Lacock is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England, approximately 3 miles south of Chippenham. It is notable for being almost entirely owned by the National Trust, which has preserved its historic streetscape of largely medieval and Georgian buildings, making it one of the most filmed villages in England. The village grew around the estate of Lacock Abbey and has retained its traditional character with buildings of varied architectural styles spanning several centuries. Lacock has been used as a filming location for numerous television and film productions, including the BBC adaptations of Pride and Prejudice and Cranford.
