Kingswear

Kingswear is a small village on the Dart estuary in the South Hams district of Devon, England, situated directly opposite the town of Dartmouth to which it is connected by a passenger and vehicle ferry. The village is perched on steeply wooded hillsides rising from the east bank of the River Dart, with colourful houses and a Victorian steam railway terminus at the end of the Dartmouth Steam Railway. Kingswear Castle, a small 15th-century artillery fort at the mouth of the estuary, lies just to the south of the village.
