Isle of Mull
The Isle of Mull is the second-largest island of the Inner Hebrides, situated off the west coast of Scotland in Argyll, separated from the mainland by the Sound of Mull and from the Morvern peninsula by the Firth of Lorn. The island has a dramatically indented coastline of over 300 miles, incorporating sea lochs, sandy beaches, and rocky headlands, with the landscape dominated by Ben More, Mull's only Munro, rising to 966 metres. Tobermory, the island's principal settlement, is renowned for its row of brightly coloured houses along the waterfront of its natural harbour. Mull is known for its outstanding wildlife, including white-tailed eagles, otters, red deer, and basking sharks in the surrounding waters.
