Hulme
Hulme is an inner-city district of Manchester, England, located immediately south of the city centre and west of Moss Side. The area was extensively redeveloped in the 1960s with a large system of deck-access housing known as the Hulme Crescents, which were themselves demolished in the early 1990s and replaced with lower-density mixed housing. Hulme has historically been associated with poverty and social deprivation but has undergone significant regeneration since the late 1990s. The Manchester Metropolitan University campus borders the district to the north.
