Grand Hotel

Grand Hotel, Brighton, East Sussex, England

The Grand Hotel is a large Victorian seafront hotel located on King's Road on the Brighton seafront in East Sussex. The hotel was built in 1864 and is one of the most famous and historically significant hotels in England, known for its imposing white facade and its prominent position on the Brighton seafront. It is most widely remembered as the site of the Provisional IRA bombing on 12 October 1984, which targeted the Conservative Party Conference and caused substantial damage to the building, killing five people and injuring many others. The hotel was subsequently restored and remains one of the leading luxury hotels on the south coast of England.
