Glen Affric
Glen Affric is a remote and scenic glen in the Scottish Highlands, located in the Highland Council area approximately 25 miles west of Inverness. It contains Loch Affric and Loch Beinn a'Mheadhoin, and is renowned for its ancient Caledonian pine forest, one of the largest surviving remnants of the original Caledonian Forest in Scotland. The glen is managed partly as a National Nature Reserve by NatureScot and is accessible from the village of Cannich, offering walking and hillwalking routes into the surrounding mountains.
