Galleons Reach
Galleons Reach is an area along the northern bank of the River Thames in east London, situated in the Docklands area of the London Borough of Newham. The location takes its name from the broad reach of the Thames here where, historically, large sailing vessels would anchor before proceeding upriver to the Port of London. The area was extensively developed during the Docklands regeneration programme of the 1980s and 1990s and is now characterised by modern residential and commercial development. The nearby Gallions Reach DLR station and Gallions Reach shopping park serve the area.
