Flete Estate

The Flete Estate is a large country estate located near the village of Holbeton in the South Hams district of Devon, approximately eight miles south-east of Plymouth. The estate centrepiece is Flete House, a large Victorian mansion built in 1878 by the architect Richard Norman Shaw for H.B. Mildmay. The house was subsequently used as a convalescent home and is now divided into private apartments. The surrounding estate includes woodland, farmland, and a stretch of the Erme estuary, and forms part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
