Ffynnon Llugwy
Ffynnon Llugwy is a reservoir situated in the Carneddau mountain range in Snowdonia, north Wales, at an elevation of approximately 540 metres above sea level. The reservoir was constructed in the early 20th century to supply water to Anglesey and the Conwy Valley, and is set in a remote, glacially carved cwm below the summit ridges of Pen yr Ole Wen and the northern Carneddau peaks. The surrounding landscape is characteristic of the high Snowdonian mountains, with sparse upland grassland, rocky ridges, and views across the Irish Sea on clear days.
