Englefield Green is a village in the Runnymede district of Surrey, situated approximately two miles north-west of Egham at the south-eastern corner of Windsor Great Park. The village is home to Royal Holloway, University of London, whose distinctive Founder's Building in the French Renaissance style is a prominent landmark. The nearby Runnymede meadows on the Thames bank are the site where Magna Carta is traditionally believed to have been sealed in 1215. The village lies within the commuter belt south-west of London and has good rail access via Egham station.
