Dublin

Dublin is Ireland's capital city and county, situated on the east coast at the mouth of the River Liffey where it meets Dublin Bay. It is by far the most populous county in Ireland and the political, economic, and cultural centre of the country. The Dublin Mountains form a backdrop to the south of the city, while the flat coastal plain extends northward. The city has been continuously inhabited since prehistoric times and contains numerous landmarks of national and international significance.
