Donegal

Donegal, Republic of Ireland

Donegal is the most northerly county in Ireland, located in the province of Ulster on the northwest Atlantic coast. It has one of the most dramatic and varied coastlines in Europe, featuring sea cliffs, peninsulas, offshore islands, and long sandy beaches. The interior is dominated by mountains, moorland, and bogland, with the Blue Stack and Derryveagh ranges among the most prominent. Letterkenny is the largest town, though the county town is Lifford.
