Dickens & Jones

Dickens & Jones, London, England

Dickens & Jones was a department store that operated for many years on Regent Street in the City of Westminster in central London. Founded in the nineteenth century, the store occupied a prominent position on one of London's most prestigious shopping streets, which is characterised by its uniform Edwardian colonnaded facades designed by Norman Shaw. The store closed in 2006 when its owner, the House of Fraser group, decided to consolidate its London operations. The building on Regent Street has subsequently been occupied by other retailers.
