Curracloe Beach is a long, wide sandy beach on the southeast coast of County Wexford, Ireland, stretching for approximately 12 kilometres along the coast north of Wexford town. The beach is backed by sand dunes and is part of a designated Special Area of Conservation. It is most widely known internationally as the location used to film the D-Day landing sequences in Steven Spielberg's 1993 film Schindler's List and the opening of Saving Private Ryan in 1998. The beach is a popular recreational destination for local residents and tourists in the southeast of Ireland.
