Covent Garden

Covent Garden is a district in the City of Westminster, central London, located east of Charing Cross Road and north of the Strand. The area is centred on the historic Covent Garden Market, a former fruit and vegetable market whose Victorian iron and glass buildings now house shops, restaurants, and the London Transport Museum. The Royal Opera House, one of the world's leading opera and ballet venues, is situated on the northeastern corner of the piazza, and the surrounding streets are known for street performance and entertainment.
