Chiddingstone, Kent, England

Chiddingstone is a small village in the Sevenoaks district of Kent, England, situated in the High Weald area approximately 5 miles west of Tonbridge. The village is notable for possessing one of the most complete surviving examples of a Tudor and Stuart village street in England, much of which is owned by the National Trust. It contains Chiddingstone Castle, a country house remodelled in a Gothic style in the early 19th century, and the ancient Chiding Stone, a large sandstone rock from which the village may take its name.
