Cheshire
Cheshire is a county in North West England, lying between the Pennines to the east and the Welsh border to the west. The Cheshire Plain, a broad lowland area of fertile agricultural land, is famous for its dairy farming and the production of Cheshire cheese. The county town of Chester retains much of its Roman street plan and is encircled by largely intact Roman and medieval city walls. Cheshire is also known for its distinctive black-and-white timbered buildings found throughout many of its villages.
