Cavan

Cavan is an inland county in the province of Ulster in the north midlands of Ireland. It is characterised by a heavily drumlin landscape, the result of glacial activity, giving rise to hundreds of small lakes that dot the county. The county town of Cavan sits roughly in the centre of the county. Cavan is the source of both the River Shannon and the River Erne.
