Castle Coombe
Castle Combe is a village in the Cotswold Hills of Wiltshire, situated in a wooded valley approximately five miles north-west of Chippenham. The village is centred on its medieval market cross and a stream-side row of honey-coloured stone cottages, and has frequently been described as one of the prettiest villages in England. It was used as the principal location for the 1967 film Doctor Dolittle and has since been used for numerous other film and television productions. The surrounding area is classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
