Cambridgeshire
Cambridgeshire is a county in the East of England, dominated by the flat, low-lying fenlands that were historically drained for agriculture. The River Great Ouse and its tributaries wind through the county, which borders Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Hertfordshire, and Northamptonshire. The city of Cambridge, home to one of the world's oldest and most prestigious universities, is the county's principal settlement. The county also includes the historic market town of Ely, renowned for its magnificent medieval cathedral.
