Buckinghamshire is an inland county in South East England, bordered by Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Greater London. The Chiltern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, dominate the southern part of the county with their beech woodlands and chalk escarpments. The county is known for its affluent commuter villages and historic country houses, including Waddesdon Manor and Chequers, the Prime Minister's official country residence. Aylesbury serves as the county town.
