Bristol, Bristol, England

Bristol is a city and county in south-west England, situated on the River Avon approximately eight miles from the sea and twelve miles from Bath. It developed as one of England's most important medieval and early modern ports, with strong historical connections to transatlantic trade including the slave trade, and was a major centre of maritime commerce and industry. The city is known for the Clifton Suspension Bridge designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the SS Great Britain, and a vibrant arts, music, and cultural scene that includes the work of the street artist Banksy. Bristol has two universities and is one of the fastest-growing major cities in the United Kingdom.
