Bracknell
Bracknell is a town in Berkshire, England, and one of the post-war New Towns designated in 1949 to relieve overcrowding in London, situated approximately seven miles south-east of Reading and twenty-seven miles west of central London. The town was substantially built from the 1950s onwards and has a large modern town centre that underwent significant regeneration with the opening of The Lexicon shopping centre in 2017. The surrounding area includes Swinley Forest, a large area of Forestry England managed conifer woodland popular for cycling and walking. Bracknell is home to a number of major technology and defence companies and is served by rail to London Waterloo.
