Bluebell Railway
The Bluebell Railway is a heritage steam railway operating in East Sussex between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead. It was founded in 1960 as one of the first preserved standard-gauge passenger railways in the world, and its name derives from the bluebells that grow prolifically in the surrounding woodland in spring. The line runs for approximately eleven miles through the wooded Sussex Weald and operates a large collection of preserved steam locomotives and vintage rolling stock. The railway has been used as a filming location for numerous television productions and films requiring period railway settings.
