Bethnal Green

Bethnal Green is an area of east London situated in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, located approximately two miles east of the City of London. Historically an area of silk weaving, it later became an important centre for furniture making and other trades during the industrial era. The area is home to the Victoria and Albert Museum of Childhood and the Bethnal Green Gardens. It is served by Bethnal Green station on the Central line of the London Underground.
