Belton House, Grantham, Lincolnshire, England

Belton House is a late 17th-century country house near Grantham in Lincolnshire, widely considered one of the finest examples of Restoration architecture in England. Built in 1688 for Sir John Brownlow, the house is attributed to the architect William Winde and has a distinctive H-plan with a central cupola. The house is owned by the National Trust and contains outstanding collections of portraits, silverware, furniture, and tapestries. The formal gardens include a Dutch garden, an orangery, and a cascade, and the wider estate takes in extensive parkland, a church, and a school.
