Arkengarthdale
Arkengarthdale is a quiet dale in the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire, running north-west from Reeth and historically important for lead mining. The valley is dotted with former mine workings, drystone walls and scattered farmsteads, set against open moorland. Its sparsely populated, unspoiled character has made it a favoured backdrop for period and rural dramas. The dale retains a strong sense of its industrial heritage.
