Aldershot, Hampshire, England

Aldershot is a large town in the borough of Rushmoor in Hampshire, situated approximately 35 miles southwest of central London. The town has been historically synonymous with the British Army since the mid-19th century, when the first permanent military camp in Britain was established there, and it continues to be home to a major military garrison and several regimental headquarters. Aldershot is often referred to as the Home of the British Army, and its military heritage is reflected in its Airborne Forces Museum, military cemeteries, and the statue of the Duke of Wellington that has stood in the town since 1885.
