Notting Hill

Notting Hill

Notting Hill, London, England

Notting Hill is a district in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in west London, situated north of Holland Park and west of Bayswater. The area is known for the Portobello Road Market, one of London's most famous street markets dealing in antiques, vintage clothing, and fresh produce, and for the Notting Hill Carnival, Europe's largest street festival held annually over the August bank holiday weekend. Notting Hill is characterised by large white stucco townhouses and garden squares, and its international profile was boosted by the 1999 romantic comedy film of the same name.
