Barnsley

Barnsley is a large market town and metropolitan borough in South Yorkshire, England, situated between Sheffield to the south and Wakefield to the north. Historically the centre of a major coal-mining district, the town has undergone significant regeneration since the decline of the coal industry in the latter decades of the 20th century. The borough is home to the Cannon Hall country house and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park nearby, and is served by the M1 motorway and mainline rail connections.
