In 1879, a small detachment of British soldiers and Welsh civilians make a desperate last stand at a remote mission station after being cut off from the main army by thousands of Zulu warriors at the Battle of Rorke's Drift. Michael Caine made his name in this stirring and visually spectacular war film.
